The Kyocera Verve makes its way onto the shelves of Sprint, Boost and Virgin! In the land of milk and honey we are surrounded by amazingly powerful smart phones. Solid aluminum devices like the almighty HTC One and software packed handsets like the GS5 and of course lest not we forget the iPhones! But as we live in a world shrouded in reality we need devices like the Kyocera Verve. While it’s hard to imagine non smart phones being produces now a days, they are! This new Verve is set to make its presence known at Sprint and a few of its sister companies Boost and Virgin Mobile.
The Kyocera Verve is not only an entry level feature phone it also slides open to expose a full QWERTY keyboard! Both of these attributes at this point are fairly uncommon but it looks as if Kyocera is taking advantage of the void. The device starts with a 2.4 inch QVGA quality screen that sports a 240×320 pixel resolution. Internally the Verve uses a QSC 6155 chip set that is backed by 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of internal storage. Around back the Verve houses a 2 mega pixel camera with 2x zoom and auto focus. Power to the handset is provided by an 1100 mAh battery that is said to get about 6.3 hours of talk time and approximately 261 days of standby time on a full charge. Additional connectivity such as GPS, Voice recognition, Windows Media Transfer Protocol support, TTY/TDD support for hearing impaired, and use as modem via USB can be found within the Verve. The handset is offered up in pink or grey colors and is available as of today Friday, April 11th via Sprint as well as Boost and Virgin Mobile carriers. The Verve however is known as the Kyocera Contact when sold under the Virgin moniker. He Verve under the Now Network is being sold for $20 bucks under a new contract.
